I’ll keep this one short and sweet. As of a little while ago, I messaged the other RSpec maintainers to let them know that I’d like to move on from the project, instead focusing on rubyfmt.
Many people don’t know this, but I essentially got started programming Ruby by working on RSpec. This has given me a very different perspective on how to work on Ruby than most folks I meet. I owe many parts of my career to the work that I did there and the help I got from the others getting started. Especially David, Andy, and Myron. It’s been a fun several years, but as of now, I’m no longer describing myself as “on the RSpec core team”.
